... along with today's optioning of Messenger to Triple-A, that somewhat thins the herd (wrt the bullpen).

I was surprised that he was even with the big club last year. I don't think I ever witnessed him come into a game and go 1-2-3 ever last season. I saw him give up runs in bunches though!!!
