Re: whats the weakest part of our team
The pen is the weakest part of the team, only becuase the team will have to rely on a bunch of young kids and to this point the organization can but give all these guys the Jimmy Jack. I expect a steady stream of guys heading between Fresneck and the big club all year.
Now if Bochy can stick with the kids in the pen, give them a chance, IMO they will do okay. Still could use one more established arm in the pen or else hope that Worrell and Benitez bounce back.
Just sayin'

with the addition of zito, the rotation looks pretty good with cain, morris, lowry and teh # 5. the lineup looks ok with the return of bonds after elbow surgery and with roberts at the top of the lineup.
what about our pen though? shaky at best. anyway we can improve that?
The offense without Bonds
The bullpen
Farm System
Management
Ownership
take your pick

Re: whats the weakest part of our team
the pen is by far the weakest part of the team because given the Giants current starting rotation, they are gonna be in a lot of close games this year
getting the bullpen squared away is the most pressing need.... theey have some young guys with talent like Wilson, Correia, and Chulk, but unfortunately we dont have that automatic stopper at the end
we were spoiled when we had Robbie Nen closing games out for us

Re: whats the weakest part of our team
Front office aside, clearly the bullpen. That being said, I think our defense will be spotty and have nowhere to go but south, while I think the bullpen actually has potential to get substantially better. Offensively, we're good enough to get the job done behind a + rotation on most days, but with very little depth. The Giants will need to be lucky on the injury front.

whats the weakest part of our team
Speaking of the weak lineup, Aubrey Huff is about to sign a 3-year deal for a paltry 20M.
WTF?
