OAKLAND COLISEUM SAUSAGE REVIEW (Giants Oakland weekend)
ALL THESE SAUSAGE WERE FROM
Saag's Stand behind section 117 in Mcafee Coliseum in Oakland
General Comments:
Atomic Hot Link is the $6.75 Hot Link on the sign
I am told this is a hotter larger version of the Louisana Hot Link
They were sold out of this sausage.
Chicken Parmesan is not a sausage, but a battered fried chicken topped with cheese.
There were sell out crowds and the stand was having a hard time keeping up with demand.
Unless you go early in the game, or attendance is low... your selection could be limited.
Name: Louisana Hot Link
Price: $5.50
Condiments: Yellow Mustard
Cooked: Grilled
Size: Medium
Detail:
Really not a bad sausage.
Bread was a little rough and kinda strange. Was a sesame roll and was REALLY COMPACT... like someone danced on it before serving.....Wasn't hard, but was DENSE...
Skin of sausage was very chewy, but not unpleasant.
Texture of meat was good, solid and substantial.
Not over greasy, not over salty.
Flavor was ok, a little mild flavor and bite for a Hot Link.
Heat of this sausage didn't even register on my heat scale.
Overall a pretty good sausage, and better any dog I have eaten at the Coliseum prior to this weekend
Not as good as the Hot Link at ATT
Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 Blocked Arteries
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Bratwurst
Price: $5.50
Condiments: Yellow Mustard
Cooked: Grilled
Size: Medium
Detail:
Visually appealing charred skin contrasted to white meat.
Bread same as hot link above.
Skin was tough, and gave way to a pop and was very chewy
Good Solid texture of meat.
Spices were a little subdued, as the flavor of the meat was the driver of flavor.
Was not too salty or greasy, had a good balance of flavor.
I would prefer more spices
Nowhere near as good as Brats at ATT, but a good sausage.
Overall Rating: 2 1/2 out of 5 Blocked Arteries
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Polish Sausage
Price: $5.50
Condiments: Guldens Mustard
Cooked: Grilled
Size: Medium
Detail:
Again bread was the same as the Hot Link above.
Skin broke, and then fell away from the meat easily as the skin was thinner than the two preceeding sausages.
This was my favorite of the three.
Pretty powerful spicing of a Polish, dense Meat texture.
Nice balance of flavors. I would order this again
Better than any Polish I have had at ATT
Overall Rating: 3 1/2 out of 5 Blocked Arteries

How about the Colliseum buffalo wings? I give them 5 out of 5 unblocked bowels.
