Sausage Review #11 Grilled Home Run Dog
Name: Grilled Home Run Dog
Price: $6.25
Location: Doggie Diner Cart stand behind Section 135 Near LF Bleachers
Condiments: Guldens Mustard and Relish
Cooked: Grilled
Size: Large
Detail:
Good looking dog, rich reddish color with just a bit of burnt skin.
Bread was substantial and just a little tough, but easy to eat. Like a really soft Dutch Crunch Character. This bread could handle LOTS of toppings without falling apart.
So I went for the relish in addition to the mustard, and glad I did.
Skin gave way easily and had nice slightly dry texture from being grilled.
The meat texture was ok, not overly soft, but not tough.
Not greasy, not very salty.... but also not very tasty.
Not a bad dog, but short on spice.
Pretty good size, but not cheap at $6.25....
This dog is for the mild palette, and even then... better load up on the condiments. Can be served with Grilled Sauerkraut.
Overall Rating: 2 1/2 out of 5 Blocked Arteries
