7/20/2014 GIANTS @ Marlins Gameball and Joker

This board is being revived for a miraculous second time, and no one bothered to take my place doing these write-ups, so the hell with it, I'm doing them again.
You wished you would've won this, because the Marlins played awful baseball the whole series, and you knew that the thugs from down south were going to win their game, which they did. So once again, the National League is tied in this wild and crazy season.

First off, he'll never be "back," well, unless he gets high again and gains 30 pounds, but I've said that many times before.
Still, he has done a good job trying to convince us that he's on his way to being reborn as a good junk-baller.
He didn't have his best stuff today, but he hung in there, and he gave his team seven decent innings.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Buster Posey: Who took a Sandoval-like swing and connected for a two-run double in the third inning, but those unfortunately turned out to be our only runs, because we couldn't get to this guy named Brad Hand.

Marco Scutaro: It was good to see him get his first hit in 10 months, but it was scary to watch him run the bases.

Hunter Pence: Who collected a pair of hits, and like Scutaro, scored on Posey's double.

Boch, you've done a hell of a job over the last few years, but there are still times where you make us all shake our collective heads. That included yesterday, when you let Lincecum, who was clearly exhausted from the South Florida humidity after six innings, take the mound for the seventh, and Lincecum inevitably gave up a run.

Marlins: They made a lot of mistakes in this series, and they literally ran themselves out of a big inning in the second, when they had two runners thrown out at third.
However, I can understand that they would make daily mistakes if they play in a ballpark that makes you feel like you're on acid.

Joaquin Arias: I'd say there's a good 90% chance he'll be gone next season. It's sad to see him decline like this, because he's a good utility man, and he had some clutch hits back in 2012.

Hector Sanchez: Has he even gotten a hit since May? It sure doesn't seem like it.

Baseball: This is the weirdest season of baseball I've ever seen.
The league has collectively sucked this year, every team is bunched up, and the few teams that pulled away from the rest of the pack fell right on their faces. Four teams have had epic collapses, and have blown six-game leads, and only three teams are on-pace to win 90 games. Since 1996, the first year of six divisions with a full 162-game schedule, the lowest amount of teams to when 90 games in a season is six, and it has happened six times, 1996-1998, and 2006-2008. It's July 21, and 17 out of 30 teams have a legitimate opportunity to win it all this year.
As bad as all these teams have played, it's going to make for some great drama down the stretch, and I'm certainly looking forward to it. The thing I hate is that it makes October completely unpredictable.
