6/20/2014 GIANTS @ DBacks Gameball and Joker

The June Swoon continued, and the Giants just lost their sixth game in-a-row.
All the two days the Giants had off this week did was make them think too much about their recent struggles. The Giants got a run in the first inning, but that was it for the Giants' offense, and the Diamondbacks tagged Lincecum for four runs, and they won 4-1.

Buster Posey

It's good to see that Posey is swinging the bat again. He got two hits tonight, and he got his average up to .281.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Pablo: Who knocked in the Giants' lone run with a first-inning triple that scored Posey.

Javier Lopez: Lopez generally doesn't get to work more than one inning, and he set down all four men he faced tonight.

Ehire Adrianza

He truly is the reincarnation of the Pharaoh, Velez, a small guy who can hit for some power, but who doesn't have a brain in his head. Perhaps the Wizard of Oz can help both of them.
He got a double tonight, but he looked completely overmatched by Addison Reed when he struck out to end the game.
My question is simply this, why is he here? Joe Panik's hitting .316 down in Fresno. I'm not saying that he's the answer, but he would certainly be a better option than Adrianza and Hicks at this point.

The whole team: What is their problem? Two weeks ago, they were the hottest team in baseball clicking on all cylinders, and now, they are the coldest team that looks completely defeated and demoralized. The hits with two outs and runners and scoring position have gone away. They've lost six in a row and nine of their last 10.

Rule [sign in to see URL]: This is completely idiotic. It would've been a complete shame if Chris Owings got awarded with an inside-the-park home run from the replay.
If Sanchez wasn't in front of the plate, he would not have been able to apply the tag to Owings.
Now, I'm glad that runners can't barrel into catchers anymore. It's not old school, it's something that Pete Rose started in the 1970 All-Star Game, but I expect and hope that the league will change the rule in the offseason and allow catchers to block the plate while waiting for the throw.
