6/14/2014 Rockies @ GIANTS Gameball and Joker

There has been some weird stuff going on at the corner of Third and King.
For the second day in a row, the Giants lost despite having the lead going into the ninth inning.

Buster Posey

If the Giants need anyone to get hot, it's Buster Posey.
He doubled and scored in the fifth inning, and then he hit a bomb that tied a game in the fifth inning. He also knocked in what should've been the winning run in the seventh with a sacrifice fly.
He has gotten his average to .269, which is still low, but it's starting to go up.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Hunter Pence: He hit the team's first home run in eight days.

Vogey: Three runs over five innings isn't that great, but you have to give him some credit for not completely imploding due to his frustration by the home plate umpire, Chris Segal.

I know I'm going to get hammered for saying this, but Romo is not to blame for today's debacle. Pagan was the goat in this one.
I don't know what the hell Pagan was thinking with the route he took. That was like something you would've seen Willie Mays Hays do in his first spring training. Barnes' bloop hit should've been no more than a single, yet it somehow turned into an inside-the-park home run.
Romo is not even going to get a Smack of the Stick, because he had his stuff working, and both of the hits he gave up were bloops.

Expanded Replay: Pagan grounded into a game-ending double play, but once again, the umpires in New York didn't overturn a bad call.
Face it, calls are only going to get overturned if they're missed by more than two feet.

Political Correctness: As most of you know, today was 'Gamer Day.' Now, I'm not a huge fan of the 'Gamer Babe' trend, but there was no need to change the name from its original. I can see where labeling women fans, 'Gamer Babes' can be sexist, but they love it and don't care.
We are a violent nation, yet being politically incorrect seems to be the biggest offense in this country. If a politician is caught cheating on his wife, his career is over. Lis Smith was going to be a the press secretary for New York Mayor, Bill De Blasio, but it was discovered that she was dating Elliot Spitzer, so she lost that position.
Grow up, people!
