6/5/2014 GIANTS @ Reds Gameball and Joker

The Giants beat the Reds 6-1 to take the series.
This is the first time they've won a regular season series in Cincinnati since 2009, and they are kicking ass right now. Their record is now 39-21, and that is their second-best mark through 60 games in their 57-year history in San Francisco. The only Giants' team that had a better record at this point was the 1962 team at 40-20.

Bumgarner ran into trouble in the first inning, which included giving up a home run to Todd Frazier. After that, he retired 22 of the final 23 batters he faced, and he got his eighth win of the year.
He's going to by a Cy Young candidate this season. His ERA is below three, and he is on pace for 21 wins.
Also, Bumgarner against Masahiro Tanaka would be a great All-Star Game matchup.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Michael Morse: It was no surprise that he took full advantage of Great American Ballpark, as he hit another blast today, and this one went into the upper deck, his 13th of the year. It also gave the Giants the lead in the second.

Brandon Crawford: Who opened it up with a three-run home run in the fourth.

Pablo: After going hitless in his first two games in Cincinnati, Sandoval went 3-for-5, and he scored a pair of runs. Also, don't forget the great sliding play he made to rob the speedster, Billy Hamilton in the sixth.

Buster Posey: Whose base-hit tacked on a nice insurance run in the seventh.

Angel Pagan: Pagan got on base four times today. He got two hits, he drew two walks, and he scored a run.

George Kontos: After Bumgarner went eight dominant innings, Kontos threw a 1-2-3 ninth to end it.

Tyler Beede: Congratulations to the 2014 Giants' first-round draft pick, Tyler Beede, and welcome to the organization!

The Giants are playing so great right now, and everyone is clicking on all cylinders, so I'm in too good of mood to hand out the joker to anyone.

Bud Selig: Buddy's announcing the draft picks tonight.
Rejoice, he's finally retiring, but fearing that he's about to have a stroke every time I watch him speak is brutal.
