6/3/2014 GIANTS @ Reds Gameball and Joker

The curse of Great American Ballpark continued, and the Reds once again beat the Giants in Cincinnati 8-3.

Hunter Pence

Pence was one of three Giants who got a hit, and he got three legs of the cycle, missing the triple.
He took full advantage of how live Great American Ballpark when he a line-drive home run in the first inning.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Angel Pagan: Who made a nice sliding catch to end the fourth inning.
I wondered a bit if he showboated, but it was still a great catch.

This always happens to him. He'll have a few good starts at AT&T Park that will raise the hope in some people, and then he'll get into a hot and humid environment and inevitably get lit up.
Timmy started to collapse in the first when he botched a pick off and gave up four runs. Then after three decent innings, he further imploded in the fifth, and he gave up four more runs.

Pablo: When he swung and missed at strike two in the fifth, you knew that Homer Bailey was going to come back with the exact same pitch, a fastball right on the outside.

Hector Sanchez: Who made not one, but two throws into centerfield in fifth inning trying to throw out base-stealers.
That ballpark truly is cursed.

Brewers: Bud Selig's Brewers still lead the National League Central. They lead that division by five games, and they're showing no signs of letting up.
I usually don't believe in conspiracies, but how come a team that was awful last season, and was supposed to be awful again this season is looking like champions in their former owner's last season as commissioner?
The worst thing imaginable—well, other than the Dodgers winning the World Series—will be Buddy presenting the championship trophy to his own team to end his career.
If that does happen, let's only hope that the Brewers don't return the favor by giving him a retirement bedpan.

David Huff: It looks like Huff has been reduced to the mop-up role.
