5/30/2014 GIANTS @ Cardinals Gameball and Joker

The Giants won again, as they pounded Adam Wainwright and beat the Cardinals 9-4.
The Giants are now 36-19, which is their third-best mark through 55 games in their 57-year history in San Francisco. The two other years where they had better records at this point were 1962, when they won the pennant, and 1971, the year of the fox.

Mad Bum

As great as the offense was, Bum got the gameball.
He threw seven shutout innings, he gave up just three hits, and he struck out 10.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Angel Pagan: If you're looking for All-Stars on this team, Pagan could very well be one of them. He had two hits tonight, a double to start the game, and a single to knock in a run in the second inning.
For those of you wondering, he is hitting .326.

Hunter Pence: Pence also got two hits, and one of them was a rocket to 'Big Mac Land' that opened up the lead.
Though, I really hope the Cardinals aren't still giving out free Big Macs for balls that get hit up there. I think it would be better for the health of the fans if you handed out free acid, instead of free Big Macs.

Pablo Sandoval: Whose RBI streak came to an end tonight, but he still got a pair of hits and scored a pair of runs.

Gregor Blanco: It didn't go as noticed as everything else since the Giants were already up by a very large margin at the time, but Blanco knocked in a pair of runs with a hit in the fifth.

Hector Sanchez: Sanchez got in on the fun when he knocked in a pair in the seventh

Huff was the buzz-kill of the night. He pitched with a 9-0 lead in the eighth. He hit Kolten Wong, then he walked two, and allowed the Cardinals to score four runs.
I don't know why you need to pitch like your hair's on fire in a nine-run game.

Yasiel Puig: Who just popped out with the bases loaded to run the Dodgers out of a rally. He probably still flipped his bat though.
