5/29/2014 GIANTS @ Cardinals Gameball and Joker

The Giants won a wild one in St. Louis 6-5.
Ryan Vogelsong struggled, but the Giants continued to click on all cylinders, as they continued their white-hot hitting with two outs and runners in scoring position, and they improved 35-19, their best mark through 55 games since 1993.

Michael Morse

Morse stayed on fire, as he responded to the Cardinals' run in the first inning with a leadoff home run in the second, his 11th of the year.
We really struck gold in the offseason.
Morse also got the big double that scored two and gave the Giants the lead in the eighth.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Pablo Sandoval: He homered in the sixth, thus he is two games behind the Giants franchise record for consecutive games with an RBI.

Gregor Blanco: Blanco continued to swing the bat well, as he collected three hits, and he scored the tying run in the eighth.

Jean Machi: Despite his microscopic ERA, he has not pitched that much in crucial situations, and tonight he set the Cardinals down 1-2-3 in the eighth.

Romo was nails to start the season, but he has been atrocious as of late. He almost blew his third save in the last two-and-a-half weeks, as he gave up a run in his third-straight appearance and let the tying run get to third.
He held on for the save, but that reminded me too much of Brian Wilson.

Carlos Martinez: Now that was the bone-headed play of the night. On the throw in to Molina on Pagan's eighth-inning single, Martinez got in front of the ball and knocked it to the backstop, and of course Blanco scored the tying run.

Pence's Scooter: I have a simple question. Who the hell cares? This was made into a huge deal, probably by the top people in the organization to promote the "Together we're Giant" campaign.
Also, if you offer a bobble head to whomever returns it, the thief is going to see that as easy money.
