5/7/2014 GIANTS @ Pirates Gameball and Joker

The Curse of PNC Park continued today, as the Giants lost their second in-a-row after their win for the ages Monday night.
The Giants tried to pull of another comeback, but the fell short, and thus they are 10-17 in their last 27 games at PNC Park.

I think Belt's finally out of his slump, as he went 2-for-4, and he clubbed his ninth home run. His home run wad the Giants' first run, and he knocked in two more in the fifth inning with a double before he was unfortunately thrown out trying to turn it into a triple.
With that said, Belt knocked in all three runs for the Giants today.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Pirates: The Pirates came into this season with very high expectations in the wake of their first winning season in 21 years. They started off very poorly, and then they lost a devastating game on Monday night.
However, winning two straight against the same team that handed you that loss is a great way to get hot, so I gotta give them a tip of my cap.

The Flan Man

Flan, I love your music, and I generally approve of your coaching, but please STOP FOLLOWING RUNNERS HOME!!!!!!!!
First off, it makes you look like a creepy stalker, and second, it often gets the back runner thrown out at third as it did today.
the video, because I'm sorry, you cannot blame that on Belt. Flannery was too busy chasing Pence home to give Belt any clue on what to do.

Announcers: While we're on the subject of Flannery's blunder, the announcers also get a smack of the stick for pinning the blame on Belt.
Again, he had no one telling him to stop. It's the third base coach's job to monitor the runners, so he can tell the back runners to either come to third, or stay put at second.

Timmy: Who once again got shelled, as he he only made it through four innings today with his eight-hitter.
Timmy, just follow the advice I've been giving you for the past few years, and I've already given it to him a billion times, so I'm not going to post it.
