4/22/2014 GIANTS @ Rockies Gameball and Joker

Two games at Coors Field, and just three damn runs.
No, folks, you're not on acid, our offense has been that bad.

He was great tonight. He threw a complete game, he only gave up two runs, he struck out six, and he got the loss. That last sentence didn't sound right, but he did get the loss, because the offense was hacking from their heals all night.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Hunter Pence: Another two-hit night for the paleo man, so let's hope he breaks out of his slump soon, because let's face it, we need someone other than Belt to be hitting.
Also, here's a clue to give you on what this guy eats.

LaTroy Hawkins: I need to give a shout out to the former Giant tonight. He's 41 years old, and he can still pitch. I wonder if he's trying to be the next Jamie Moyer.

It was the eighth inning, and the Giants had two runners on with one out, and the thought that entered my head was 'Double Play, Double Play, Double Play." Well, we Giants fans must me psychic, because that's exactly what he did on the first pitch.

Angel Pagan: This was by far his worst game so far. 0-for-5 with a hat trick, and worst of all, he may be hurt.

Hector Sanchez: Ninth inning, tow runners on and one out, and Hector hacked at slop to make the second out.

Offense: As a whole, these guys just suck. Tonight, we saw more wasted opportunities, and by the looks of things, we might be seeing this all year. It's 2009 all over again, and remember, we got the hits with runners in scoring position in the opening series of that season as well. We beat the Brewers 10-6 in the opener, then 7-1 in the third game, and the offense went into a tailspin after that.
There is a positive. 2009 and 2011 showed us that you can contend with bad hitting as long as you have good pitching, but I believe 'get us a bat!!!' will be the rallying cry at the trade deadline.
