4/21/2014 GIANTS @ Rockies Gameball and Joker

Not even Coors Field, the home of Dinger the Purple Dinosaur could wake the bats up, and the Curse of the Purple Drank hit this team stronger than ever tonight.
Vogelsong lasted an inning-and-a-third, and this game was pretty much over by the end of the second inning.

Tonight was pretty much a game to forget, but Huff came in to end the second by inducing a double play, he came up to bat in the third, and he got his first big league hit. Unfortunately, he had to leave due to an injury, but he showed some major league hustle there.

TIP OF THE CAP: emoticon

Hunter Pence: Hunter was one of two Giants to have to hits tonight, and he is now inching closer to the mendoza line.

Brandon Belt: Who was the other Giant to have a pair of hits tonight.

Angel Pagan: His short temper earned him his second ejection as a Giant, but hey, we need something to wake the bats up, so if Pagan screaming in an umpire's face does it, so be it.

Jean Machi: Whose hot start continues. He pitched a 1-2-3 inning late when it didn't matter, but his ERA is [sign in to see URL].

We better get used to the Vogelsong we saw tonight, because until he is removed from the rotation, this is what we're going to get. After giving up five runs and three home runs in an inning-and-a-third, Bochy saw enough and yanked him. Vogelsong has meant so much to this team, but his time is pretty much up. He struggled last year, and he is now 36 years old, going on 37. If you want a prediction, it's that Vogelsong will likely be in the bullpen or off the team by June 15. I believe there's a very good chance that Edwin Escobar will be called up to fill in the fifth spot of the rotation at some point.

Yusmeiro Petit: He wasn't any better than Vogey tonight. He came in and got torched for four runs in four innings.

Pablo: Make than another 0-for-4 for the Panda.

Buster Posey: Okay, this is extremely concerning. After hitting .244 in the second half last year, he's hitting .227 so far this year. He left four men on base tonight.

Michael Morse: 0-for-4 with a hat trick, ouch.

Chad Bettis: All he had to do was throw the ball 20 feet to end the game, and he bounced it to Morneau at first.

Dinger: I still hate you, Dinger!
