Los Astros

Wow, what an inept team. Four regs are averaging more than a strikeout a game at the plate.

This is the slash line of one of the players:
.042/.115/.042/.157

(Name withheld to protect the minor leaguers in the organization who are wondering what it takes to make the show in Houston)

Pitching? Three starters with an ERA over 7.00! That's hard to accomplish.

Tigers swept them, and it was a minor embarrassment, but not as much had they lost any of the games. Schadenfreude, indeed.

In truth, it was a relegation.

Re: Los Astros

At least they're not the Yankees.... Arod alone makes more in 2013 than the whole Astros team together.

Re: Los Astros

I hope the draft choices are worth the lost fans/revenue.

At least when the Giants went through their post-Bonds rebuild, they were at least committed enough to the fan base to spend in the upper half of franchise payrolls.

The Astros as they're built today would have a difficult time winning the PCL championship.
