Brown isn't even on the 40-man yet, so the Giants can take it slowly with him, to see what they've got.
And since Pagan is now signed for 4 more years, it's not as if Brown has to be rushed. If he turns out to be a prototypical light-hitting-but-speedy CFer, so be it.

The days when Brown was manning CF and flanked by Trout and Harper in the AFL were a thing of beuty.
While Brown started out slow in Richmond, he picked it up in the second half after an apparent change in his batting stance. Hopefully, he brings that improvement on into Fresno this year. He is still having problems stealing bags though...
I believe we have been spoiled by the ridiculously fast rises through the farm system by Pablo, Timmy, Posey, MadBum, and Belt.
Be patient, Doyle, Brown will be here in due time.

Agree on most of the guys listed, but Pablo didn't have a fast rise through the farm system - he spent over 4 seasons in the minors.

I didn't realize he was in the minors for 4 years, but if you get called up when you just turned 22, that is pretty impressive and fast. In comparison, isn't Brown like 24 or 25 now?

baseball reference has Pablo's first professional season at 17, he was call up in 2008 as a 21yr old.
Brown is suppose to be more advance as a college player.
