Re: This effing guy trying to be funny?
Just another faux tough guy worried about what might move his member.
Don't give it another thought.

Re:
More proof that the Detroit sports writers suck. Not a one is worthy of serious consideration. We're I the sports editor of the Freep, I'd fire them all and start over.
It's tragic that such an avid sports town has zero-ZERO-zero journalistic talent in the field of sports writing. It used to be one of the best places to read great copy and stories.
I'm a better sports writer than any of them and that's not much of an accomplishment on the face.
This asshole is missing the point about Giants fans, and that's because his head it plugging it.
EDIT: I had to comment to at least defend the honor of Tigers' fans who think this guy is off base.

Congratulations Jeff: You win the Joe Falls award for "Most Irrelevant Column of 2012." All I learned is that you have nothing of value to offer in the way of insight on the topic of the Giants' baseball culture and history, which goes back to 1883. So much richness and interest to plum into and you talk about crooked fences and clam chowder. Are you aware of all the players who played for the Tigers and Giants? There's a column that could surface a substantial connection between these two franchises who have never faced the each other in a WS. Opportunity missed. Two iconic baseball franchises and you go the way of inventing a story with no validity, value or virtue. You do a disservice to the Tiger baseball fan, because people will conclude that it's what we want to read about. And it's a larger testimonial that no one who works in the Free Press's sports department measures up to the standards of what even is defined as a marginal sports writer.
