I wrote a large comment wondering why people feel compelled to publicly dispute the worth of a performer that someone else publicly appreciated.

Then I started editing.
Then I went into the kitchen for some eats.

More on my every move(ment) as they occur.

JDB likes to crap on people's posts.
Think of it as overflow from his adult diaper.

Being somewhat old I have a smattering of knowledge about things Floydian.
And now you can Google just exactly how to set the controls for the heart of the sun, so no mysteries.

"Careful with that axe, Eugene."

I put them above many arena rock bands from the Before Time.
Rush, fr' instance.

"Mr Bradbury - ha ha, charade you are."

Of course to declare personal appreciation levels of entertainers of any medium, from the leatherbeating of Mr. Mason
to the leatherflashing of Mr. Sanchez
is to invite criticism, judgment and damnation from one's peers.
So one must speak carefully if one wishes not to ruffle unseen feathers.

Then again, sometimes one doesn't give a squirt.

Floyd's a trip.
Always has been, always will be.

And David Gilmour is an ace guitarist of and by himself.
Sort of the same draft class that brought Jeff Beck and Robin Trower to America's consciousness.

"Here for today - gone tomorrow, that's me..."

I saw the movie "The Wall" when it debuted in the 80s. Nice to see the hammers still marching.
Floyd played all of two North American shows to support the album, one in NY and one in L.A.
You who have seen their shows can hardly call them minimalists,
but from a logistical point of view I thought that was pure genius.

"And the worms ate into his brain."

I saw neither, but every review of any show by any member of the now fragmented pigflyers gets rave reviews.
I'm jealous.

"Was it love, or was it the idea of being in love?"

True. Even *casual Giants fans* like you, should be able to offer their opinions.
No matter how dull, dimwitted and asinine they are.

So you have that going for you as well, which is nice.
