RP elaborate please - that sucks.

The same jobs that affords me the chance to see the giants in SD and Chicago this month, has kept me away from SF this series.. emoticon

I would rather have 35,000 fans who stand up and cheer at the right moments instead of 42,000 fans who sit idly by and text message the whole game....

Better still is your 35,000 fanatics and another 7000 sitting on their hands but paying to get in.

It's scandalous not to sell out LA games in a heated pennant race, and some of the blame might well be on the economy. Times are tough for lots of people, and I'm not going to blame those who can't take the money for the PG&E bill and give it to the Giants when they're on TV anyway.

I'd love to see the place full and loud for today's game. Not that many seasons are E Ticket rides in the second half of September. You want as many people as possible drinking in the experience in person and becoming personally invested in this sh!t.

The BEAT LA crowd has been pretty vocal the past two nights.

I can't quite remember the Bumz 2nd baseman
either.... But I'm pretty sure he used to
be the host of Dance Fever in the 80's....

Nah, not too hard merk, as ll mentioned it is scandalous to not sell out bums games in a pennant race, and I stand guilty as charged at this point.

In my meager defense, as I drove across the bridge into the city on Tuesday night, I did seek some penance in confessing to my friend the incredible guilt I felt as we drove past the ballpark that night. She too professed considerable angst to me, then having absolved ourselves through confession we were able to enjoy an incredible show by the Walkmen at the Fillmore that evening, tainted only by the seven innings of pre concert torture we were able to squeeze in at the Weinstube before the show.

Anticipating the sleep deprivation Tuesday night would bring, I also skipped last night’s game for a restorative evening watching from the couch even though I had tickets available, but tonight I will be back at the yard, trying to live with the shame of the past two days.

Hopefully this act of contrition will help the lord see fit to miracle the Giants a good number of runs early into this evening’s game, but I fear we are in for another grinder.

Well done merk, and spot on with joker.

I’m going to put on my hairshirt now.

While I agree 35,000 for the Dodgers isn't enough, I also blame the management for not adjusting ticket prices. I mean who is going to pay $70 for a lower box seat against the lowly Dodgers. Also consider the fact that many Dodgers fans have given up and aren't selling the 2000-3000 tickets that their fans would purchase if their in a playoff race.

Rally Pumpkin, I never thought you would post on message boards, but I am glad you are. One of the best Giants fans in the world! My question is do you think Sabean maybe read something you wrote on this mb? I could easily see Sabean reading these boards and singling you out. I wish the team would just hire you as their hired driver/mascot on the road!
