Re: No Reason to fear the Dodgers... agree i think we showed we're the better team and when they come to sf i think we WILL sweep them. they have a nice offense but our 1 and 2 shut them down. Their rotation doesn't put fear into anyone.
Re: RE: Dodgers/D-Backs Brawl. Of course you Giants' fans love to see two rivals at each others' throats. But this comedy of hitting batters as acts of vengeance must end. So must these juvenile bench-clearing playground tussles. These ballplayers are getting careless like women. It's embarrassing to watch grown men push and shove like third-graders.
Cody Ross looks like he has to pee.
No need for Kennedy to even throw at Grienke. They were quits after Grienke plunked Montero. And watch the HPU take command of the situation like Captain Queeg on a buoy-pulling maneuver.
That Grienke went hard into second did not warrant Kennedy's head shot are (ironically) at Grienke. But that Gibson was always a hothead, talking loud, saying things, and if he ordered the hit on Grienke, it had nothing to do with baseball. Gibson should have used a reliable pitcher, a pitcher who does not get carried away and hit a guy like Uribe a couple of months from now.
Idea. Maybe it's time to apply the hockey rule: leave the bench area and you are ejected automatically.
If a pitcher hits three batters, or two in one inning, intentionally or not, he's done. If a pitcher hits a batter in the head, intentionally or not, he's gone, too, just the way that a high stick, intentional or not, is a penalty. Let the 's rules and not the umpires decide who is ejected. And never does an umpiring crew look more impotent than when the benches clear, or when they warn the benches. That's like saying "it's on now."

Re: No Reason to fear the Dodgers... Bums-Dbags suspensions and fines-
(Bums got off light, including Puig only fined, after throwing a punch at Hinske-- and Hinske gets 5 ?! And not even one missed start/game suspension for Greinke?
Must be a make-up call for the collarbone injury he took at the hands of Carlos Quentin
Ian Kennedy 10 games (basically two starts)
Eric Hinske 5 games
Kirk Gibson- 1 game
Fines- Montero, Parra
JP Howell, Skip Schumaker. mark McGwire - 2 games
Ronad Belisario - 1 game
Mattingly- 1 game
Fines - Greinke and Puig

In light of the suspensions handed down during the brawl Tuesday night against the Dodgers, it appears a few of the Diamondbacks are a bit peeved.
Have you ever watched people who are bad at math try to split a bill? Basically that's how I picture the process of deciding brawl penalties

McCarthy wasn't alone.
#DBacks' Hinske appealing. “Unreal, can't believe it,” he said. Source said he hit #Dodgers' Puig first. Hinske's reply: “Watch the video.”

OK, let's do that! Check out Yasiel Puig nail Eric Hinske in the middle of the back (Hinske was ducking) at about the 34-second mark in the video below, close to the middle of the screen:
