Hamels started toward the dugout after what he thought was a strike. Lincecum didn't get the call & buzzed ump Dana DeMuth w. a fastball that slammed off the backstop & then froze Hamels w. another 3rd strike. 4/28/10 Timmy the ump killer.

Re: Getting into Shape

this last weekend here in sd, there was the rock and roll marathon. a good friend of mine was going to do the half portion (13 miles). personally, any workouts over an hour get boring (found this out while training for a triathalon a few years back). he calls saturday night and explains that he wants to drop off his bag with change of clothes at another friend's house in o.b. for after the race. i am down in o.b. he comes down, and drops off the stuff. in his bag is this visor he always wears, that we always give him !@#$ about. he leaves, and after a few cocktails we decide to modify the visor.

the next morning we meet him after he is done, slap the visor on him and take a bunch of pictures with him and his medal. he has no idea what the visor looks like, but he wears it with pride. then he showers and changes at our friends house, we slap the visor back on him, and take him out for breakfast and bloody marys. he is wearing the visor the whole time totally oblivious. finally we get to a bar with mirrors, and he sees it. he is like, "!@#$, i been wearing this all morning all over o.b.!" classic.

I needed a laugh this morning. That is hilarious tehehd. You guys are complete a**holes, and for that reason, I am very happy to hear about your antics.

I bet he thought he looked legit in that visor too right? That could only of been worse had there been an actual penis on it.

When I start to stress eat, the best thing I do for myself personally is to put into perspective the thing I am stressing about. Is it really that bad? How long am I going to be stressing about this? Do I want to ruin my whole diet over it? etc.

If that doesn't work, I forced myself to drink water to fill my stomach up or go for a walk to clear my mind.

Here's an article on it too that might help: <[sign in to see URL]

Update!

Down to 186.5 pounds and feeling great. I still am honing in on 175 pounds as my goal, but have started really taking my training to the next level.

Have recently started P90X (GREAT PROGRAM!) and my flexibility / strength has greatly increased while my the rest of my fat is slowly starting to disappear. My weight hasn't drastically decreased, but my waist line keeps getting smaller.

Here are my stats:

Starting weight - 210
Current weight - 186.5

Starting waste size - 36
Current waste size - 32

Weight left to lose: 11.5 pounds

Begin date: Mid-February
Goal date: Mid-September

Re: Getting into Shape

Killer job, PXP.

I hit a bit of a wall a couple weeks ago and have switched up my workout routine as well. I was just riding 1:30-2:00 three or four times a week. But all I was doing was burning off food without actually getting and skinnier.

I started alternating cycling with running/workouts and it's been a huge difference. I've lost 3 lbs in two weeks after bouncing back and forth around 184 for almost a month. I've always dropped a couple inches off my guy and in general feel more flexible and well.

My gym routine is nothing extreme. I've doing some work on the plyo platforms--set ups with weights with pushups in between and lateral step ups--and mixing in a lot of core work. Balance ball, flutter kicks, etc. I just basically do everything back-to-back so that it becomes like a cardio workout. I'm usually in the high 80s of Max Heart Rate when I'm done.

Then I run. I've never been a fast runner, so I've been trying to work on speed over duration. In three weeks I've gone from a 9:40 mile to 8:20 a couple days ago. Fast for me. I figure I get in enough "endurance" cardio with my cycling that I want to concentrate on strength and power with the running. And they really help each other a lot. The core work and running really helps me feel like I'm putting a lot more power to the pedals on the bike.

Started: 192
Currently: 182
Goal: 170

So pretty much half way there, but I've also got a lot of body fat to loose when I get near my weight.
