Down another 1.6, 9.8 total
the thing i like about WW is that it isn't too big on exercise. they assume you're sedentary basically.
So I've lost every week while only working out twice a week. i hope to increase that now that school has restarted.

Proud to say that I am down to 194.4 pounds, surpassing the half way mark of my goal. I must admit that losing the weight is easy if you stay focused. 15 pounds in 2 months was due to putting a ban on all sugary foods, junk foods, but still maintaining a relatively reasonable portion size on the foods I do eat (I eat a little more and still lose weight probably because of the walking + weight training). I can recall that I have had only 1 speed bump since I started on St. Patrick's Day where I drunk like my heritage would of called for, but also decided to not allow myself to eat any garbage... I dealt with my hangover with a lot of water and fruits, and avoided the greasy, fried foods I normally would have eaten in such a case. Here's to hoping the next 3 months get me down 15 more pounds to 180 (with graduation around the corner it might be a little tricky, but I am dead focused on my goal. I will get there eventually).

I have been following this thread with great interest. Congrats to you guys that are working hard...the results are obvious. For me personally (I am a work out fanatic) I enjoy some of the other benefits. I sleep better, I am not as crabby, (Personal observation) I just have a better outlook on life. Sounds strange..but true.
What works for me other than the active lifestyle is I cut out booze during the week...completely. I also limit any sodas to one a day....max. On special occasions /vacations I will not follow these things but generally it has helped me in my overall weight.
I hover at 209 from a high of 227 following my sedentary life after my shoulder surgery.
Good luck...and keep going!

Hey thanks Tom. I agree that I have felt all of those positive benefits from working out too including even a better sex drive, which was a nice unexpected side affect.
Limiting the booze has definitely been something that has helped me. Glad to have the additional support from you guys.

Re: …
I found a great article on the benefits of water for our bodies too. I sort of had an idea about this stuff, but it is an interesting read nonetheless. I'll summarize below:
Source - http://www.shapeupshop.com/weightloss/water-weight-loss.html
Drinking the right amount of water per day can:
- Increase metabolism
- Flushes out impurities in your skin, which makes you have better complexion
- If you have excess skin or wrinkles, the water can help to tighten it
- Improves muscle tone
- I also read somewhere that the appropriate amount of water helps you poop too! lol so for any of you looking to avoid constipation, there you have it.

Hey Chef - How goes the weight loss.
Thanks for asking.
It's going well. I'm down 12.6 lbs. I'm still not getting as much working out in as I want. I'm just not a big gym fan and the weather is so unpredictable here in Oregon. When I do go to the gym I prefer spinning classes, but they're only offered at certain times and I'd much rather come home at 5 pm than stick around campus for another hour.
I got on the bike three days last week and lost a full three pounds. But I think I might not do so well this week. Only got one ride in and I'm fight yet ANOTHER Daycare virus that my boy coughed into my mouth.
I'm down to 182. I want to be at 162, but I've always felt my fittest around 170. When I was in the low 160s last time I felt great on the bike, but just kinda weak the rest of the time.
I started mixing in a little 20 minutes of yoga as a wake up every morning. Nothing serious, but I don't think there's a better way to get the body working.
