Don't tase me bro!

I'm surprised a mob didn't attack those [sign in to see URL] officer created a situation in which someone could have been killed (the old lady, a cop, someone trying to stop the cop from killing the old lady). I trust cops as much as gang members, not in any capacity.

Its funny. Some people decide to do jobs that protect people and help people when they can't help themselves. These professions (Military, police) get bombarded with accusations that they are wrong, unfair, brutal, etc.

Does it happen? Of course it does. By and large the biggest majority of Officers that I know want to [sign in to see URL] really care about other people. I was reading the news the other day and front page news was about a fireman rescuing a cat out of a burning [sign in to see URL] the back page was an article about a motorcycle officer pursuing a known bank robber and at the conclusion of the pursuit the Officer and the robber exchanged [sign in to see URL] robber was injured. I blame a lot of that on the media [sign in to see URL] more important here?

There are people who criticize our profession and thats [sign in to see URL] know that public servants are not above the law I also know that accountants certainly are not held under this close of a microscope. I willingly accepted that [sign in to see URL] like I did when I served this country for many years in the military.

Rest assured Jack Flash, even knowing your views, I would willingly lay down my life for your protection because thats the oath I took many years ago.

My original two posts were flames towards you , but as I grow older I realize that its truly not worth it. Your opinion of me and my profession doesn't change what I am, my views or my [sign in to see URL] believe that most people in this world do things for good and those that don't need to be stopped.

Good luck [sign in to see URL] truly don't distrust [sign in to see URL] just haven't figured out what they actually [sign in to see URL]'t Bernie Madoff a glorified accountant? Talk about a guy not to trust.....

Geez man, I was really just ribbing you (although in retrospect it may have been to long after the fact). I don't say I don't trust cops to start [sign in to see URL] say it b/c I do not trust cops. Sure there are some cops that are [sign in to see URL] I have had far too many bad experiences with them. I firmly believe that cops look the other way when another cop does wrong. Some sort of code that is more important than the job they are sworn to do. If you're a cop, and you know another cop has broken the [sign in to see URL] you do [sign in to see URL] you too are corrupt (I don't mean you, I mean cop X. Heck, I didn't even know you are a cop). Do we need cops? Sure. But we need clean good cops who are always on the up & up. I don't get to break GAAP law when I so [sign in to see URL] cops shouldn't be able to break the laws they uphold either. I don't really want to go on & on about it. My real point is I don't trust [sign in to see URL] I don't. Not to get a rise out of anyone. The stories about the SFPD, NOPD (where a cop put a hit on a woman the force was so corrupt), the Chicago PD, NYPD and fairly recently, the LAPD (for what, the 4th time?) being MAJORLY corrupt from top to bottom only makes me more weary. Geez, the LAPD shooting guys, planting evidence, pimping out whores & shaking down dope dealers? Hundreds of cases being reviewed b/c it was saturated with corruption. Mostly though, I've just seen first hand more than enough to make me walk the other way when I see a cop. I think it is their job to make the rest of us trust [sign in to see URL] as of today, I do not.

P.S. Madoff was not an accountant. If the gov't employed a few more accountants he may have not pulled that all off. As I understand it though, the FBI's accountants still get the most successful prosecutions. I guess, in a way, we're like cops (although I'd say more like [sign in to see URL] whatever). There are plenty of corrupt [sign in to see URL] they aren't looked at to protect us all (although in fact, that is what we really [sign in to see URL] people information to make financial [sign in to see URL] protect their assets).

I've written too much. Tom, if you're a [sign in to see URL] just ask that you protect and serve, without exception.
