2009 Spring Training Sausage Review #4 Giants Dog in Scottdale

Name: Giants Dog
Price: $5.75
Location: The Grill, Surprise Stadium
Condiments: Yellow Mustard, and Grilled Onions
Cooked: Grilled
Size: Medium/ Large
Detail:

Again served on a sesame seed sandwich bun. Guess they never heard of a sausage buns out here. But moist and soft and solid, so maybe it was the best option they had. Well charred skin crumbled to the bite giving way to a fine textured dog. Nothing special here, fairly salty with the classic taste of a standard american hot dog. It was like I was 12 years old eating an oversized Oscar Meyer weiner that had taken a good broil in the drawer at the bottom of the oven. The onions were well grilled and an added bonus to break up the boredom of the dog. Decent size but nothing amazing for the money. I wouldn't be disappointed after ordering this, but don't expect something gourmet.

OVERALL RATING 3 Blocked Arteries

POST SCRIPT:
Please note, the concessions stands in the permanent buildings also sell Giants Dog likely steam their dogs and don't have onions. Additoionally, the grilled condiments seem to be a little random. Yesterday was onions only in Left, and Onions and Peppers mixed in RIght and additionally in Right they had grilled sauerkraut
