for those that have not tried this. I picked up a bottle of Sokol Blosser Evolution, Lucky Edition. $15 in Safeway and a very nice wine to drink. What I dig about it is the low alcohol, 12% and it is fermented in stainless steel. The label is a tad to kitchy for me, but this is a great white table wine...plus I sell it

Re: One for the winos

Thanks for the heads up 77. I've been mixing in some more whites as summer approaches and I am always looking for something new. I picked up a couple of bottles of this cheap Chilean Sauv Blanc that Bevmo has on sale recently:

http://www.bevmo.com/Shop/ProductDetail.aspx?Ne=5&N=39+4294967177&area=wine&No=0&ProductID=31452&Ns=HighestRating|1

Not too bad at $10 per bottle.

= = =

FYI

The Grape Tray is at Shaw and Fresno, and a ways to slug down Shaw from 99 with all of the traffic lights. While it is a little longer distance wise if you are heading south on 99 from the Bay Area, you can get there faster with less aggravation if you continue South on 99 past Shaw, and take 180 East, then 41 North to the Shaw exit. Hang a right off the exit, then turn left on Fresno and you are there (It's in the corner of the shopping center on the west side of Fresno Street off Shaw).

Thanks Billabong, the route taking 180 makes complete sense to me. I know exactly where it is. Then I can take 41 back towards Reedley.

Check out that white, it is a very nice wine.

For those that don't know, Bev Mo's nickle sale starts Wed.

No problem. And I'll be picking some up my next Safeway run.

If you are coming from the south (Reedley) on 99 headed north, you can catch 41 North from the 99 and skip the 180 leg, the other assumed your heading south on 99, but either way the freeway driving beats the hell out of going cross town on Shaw from 99.

actually heading south on 99. Folks have a house in Reedley and most of my releastives live between Reedley, Kingsburg, Easton, etc. I know the area through all the years of visiting for the holidays and such. Thanks for the reccomendation. I always looking for cool wine shops to make a buy. Hell is even is on the way to Kings Canyon!

Sorry, Clash. I've had Sokol Blosser and lots of Dundee Gris, but not specifically their Gris.

I'll swing by the Co-op and pick up a bottle this weekend and let you know!

I'm sure the Pinot Noir is typical of Dundee. They've kinda become predicable the past couple years. Like Carneros Pinots or Oakville Cabs. You pretty much know what you're going to get. Even more so in the Willamette, as most are buying grapes from one another.
