Re: One for the winos
for those that have not tried this. I picked up a bottle of Sokol Blosser Evolution, Lucky Edition. $15 in Safeway and a very nice wine to drink. What I dig about it is the low alcohol, 12% and it is fermented in stainless steel. The label is a tad to kitchy for me, but this is a great white table wine...plus I sell it

Re: One for the winos
Thanks Billabong, the route taking 180 makes complete sense to me. I know exactly where it is. Then I can take 41 back towards Reedley.
Check out that white, it is a very nice wine.
For those that don't know, Bev Mo's nickle sale starts Wed.

Re: One for the winos
actually heading south on 99. Folks have a house in Reedley and most of my releastives live between Reedley, Kingsburg, Easton, etc. I know the area through all the years of visiting for the holidays and such. Thanks for the reccomendation. I always looking for cool wine shops to make a buy. Hell is even is on the way to Kings Canyon!

Re: One for the winos
a question for Chef....I sell Sokol Blosser....I adore their Evolution...man what a fine white table wine...I cannot get samples of theirs. Have you any tasting notes on their Dundee Hills Pinot Gris and Pinot...

Re: One for the winos
Sorry, Clash. I've had Sokol Blosser and lots of Dundee Gris, but not specifically their Gris.
I'll swing by the Co-op and pick up a bottle this weekend and let you know!
I'm sure the Pinot Noir is typical of Dundee. They've kinda become predicable the past couple years. Like Carneros Pinots or Oakville Cabs. You pretty much know what you're going to get. Even more so in the Willamette, as most are buying grapes from one another.
