Just saw his 06 numbers... similar to 07, but in 100 less AB. So he regressed last year? Regardless, looks like he has potential, and I'd probably trade Bengie for him... but why the hell would they give up young talent for a catcher on his last legs? Don't get me wrong, benie's still plays well, but I'd be shocked if he kept it up for another couple years. Catchers, man. Catchers.

Last year playing on the road only Encarnacion's power numbers suffered but his average was higher and OPS was slightly higher. And as far as career home/roads splits go Encarnacion has 20 homers at home and 20 homers on the road with 5 more RBI coming at home.
Plus he put on power hitting clinic in the DOmincan Winter League playoffs. He was a stud for Licey.
Dude is good and I think he's going to get better.
