Didn't Garth Brooks start the "celebrity whoring " slide downhill several years ago? Didn't he play in a ST game?

It was either Brooks or Kevin Costner. Can't remember which went first. I think they both played in ST with the Padres. I'm not gonna bother to look that up, though.

That would actually be a better plan then trading for Inge.

Brandon Inge??? WTF?

If I'm a pitcher and I'm fighting for a spot on a team and I have to pitch to a celeb looking to fufill some fantasy at the expense of some of my valuable pitches, I earhole the !@#$ with pitch one and become an instant hero to true baseball fans.

If' I'm a #1 starter, I blow the asshole down with three 95-plus cheeseballs and tell him to "sit the !@#$ down!" on his way back to the bench.

And ANOTHER thing ... if I'm the home plate umpire, the strike zone is the size of that celeb's off-shore bank account.

And then I run him for wasting all our time.

All the reports are leaning toward Inge remaining a Tiger.
