Re: Lincecum

What is the Giants starters ERA for the 1st inning for the Spring?

OMG, every time I check the scoreboard, the opp. score in the first. Its not even 1 run, its multiple runs, almost EVERY game.

Oh man its gunna be a looooooong year.

Ok, I did the math.

Totaling all the first inning runs they've given up this spring (33) and multiplying by 9, then dividing that by the amount of innings pitched (16, for 16 1st innings), the Giants starters ERA for Inning #1 is........

33x9/16=

.........[sign in to see URL] ERA

Yikes

LOL (thats including today)

Zito's 8 runs in the first vs. OAK a few weeks back doesn't help, either.

I know its ST, but c'mon starters! This doesnt' help the offense knowing that they usually have to claw from behind before they even get their first ABs. Hopefully this doesn't carry over into the season, or the offense will be under even more pressure which is the last thing this lineup needs.
