2008 Amateur June Draft

I hope to God, that the Giants brass are scouting Danny Espinosa at Long Beach State ... think Troy Tulowitzki with a little more speed. I've seen both of these guys play at Long Beach State (in addition to Bobby Crosby and Jason Giambi), and Danny is definitely ahead of the curve. He's starting out the '08 with a bang ... toured with Team USA during the summer of '07, and was flat out raking it.

Defense better be his ticket because his hitting numbers suck balls.

Through 12 games this year he has only 2 RBI and 11 SO. His batting average is only .347 which is not that great for someone who's starting off the season with a bang or ahead of the curve.

Have you ever heard of Blair Field? Think AT&T Park of college ball, perhaps the worst hitting park in D1. Oh, he's already had three walk-off hits to win games, and he's not facing crap D1 pitching either. LB State has the toughest D1 sked in the country.

A power hitting corner infielder would be ideal at the number 5 slot in the draft
