Agreed that MVP 05 is the best baseball video game ever made. That's why that other company had to buy exclusive rights; no way this other stuff could compete.

Just because something's new doesn't automatically make it better, because if it did, it'd mean you'd be more inclined to think that Miley Cyrus (TV's Hannah Montana) was a better rocker than Janis Joplin.

Yes, I know that by making such a statement I am veering dangerously close to Brian Sabean Old Man Love territory.

hahaha. if we are going that route, i'm going with mlb 98 with vin scully announcing, and the dude in the background constantly saying, "naaaachos." miley cyrus is 10 times hotter than jancie ever was (then again thehed isn't into hairy hippies), and she is not a rocker. a better analogy for a modern day janice is gwen stefani. gwen is a modern day, "rocker" despite her solo club music. however, with no doubt, much like janice, she was fronting a male band and really the only female to do so in her era, and becomming wildly successful doing it.

Any game with Vin Scully should be a homerun, but I could never get into those MLB games. 989 Sports or whoever made them just didn't pull off what EA Sports did with the MVP series -- to me, anyway. To each his own though, right?

I'm actually level 53, so I haven't reached prestige mode, but I probably will within a few days. My full name is [UCLA]curdsf

The quickest way to gain rank is just to get kills with all the weapons.

I use mods for MVP 05 that have updated the game to 2008 rosters, uniforms, staduims everything. Just as if EASPORTS released "MVP Baseball 2008"

My buddy and I would throw back a couple and play for an hour or two. Awesome. Schmitty was unhittable =D

In fact, we were both TERRIBLE at hitting in that game.

Dude..... HOOK ME UP! =D

The only thing that sucks about that game is Kruk saying "And he just missed it... by about a YARD!" everytime I swung & missed. emoticon
