I opened it thinking that Felipe broke his hip or something

The younger Alou will probably only play in 90 games this year

Re: Down Goes Alou!

OK, so if we settle for balcony seats, maybe we could pick up 1 or 2 of the following.

Mike Carp- 1b/21 years old. Good bat/BA likes him. could fit in at AA.

Wilmer Flores- 3B/SS Venezuelan youth of 17. He's your standard young prospect,
great potential, high ceiling but also high risk. Could be a sleeper prospect.

Danny Murphy- 3B/23 years old. AA ready, good bat, bad defense.

Jefry Marte 3B Dominican youth of 17. See Wilmer Flores.

If Roberts can't get the deal done, I'd definitely consider trading [sign in to see URL] both.

Thoughts?

[sign in to see URL] the wake of the Santana trade, count on the Mets to be loath to give up any more prospects, especially for Dave f&*$n Roberts.

However, I would be happy to trade Roberts for a PTBNL.

The rumor last year was that the Mets were interested in Winn. I've been saying for some time that Winn is the one guy that the Giants should trade to free up roster space for the younger players and still get some okay prospects. So I certainly hope that Sabean is on the phone to the Mets to try and make something happen.

Just sayin'

Winn would be great to trade. If he's moved, we get to play someone (Nate?) in his place, and maybe get some return for him.

I'm in full agreement 22.

Winn would actually be great for the mets. They don't need him for power, just get on base and play decent D. He does both.

If the Giants could trade Winn, not only could they get rid of his contract and get a decent prospect in return, it sure would clear up the mess in the outfield. Raj and Roberts could platoon in LF, while Lewis and Nate could battle it out all year in RF. Of course Rowand would start in CF.

Make it happen Sabean!
