Didn't we send $$$ to the marins along with benitez for Mess? So technically we're paying like $4m/yr for Mess? (this is a total guess, btw)

what "we" did, was eat Mando's contact, so for several months last season, Mando was cashing Orange and black checks every two weeks that were somewhere around 500k each, while he sat sweating in various gloomy, musty, dank, humid, dimly lit, donut shops in Florida-- and laughed at us all..

think Casablanca, only with a fat sweaty man instead of Bogey.

It's more like the Giants paid Teh Mess $[sign in to see URL] last year. Armando is off the books now. And any deferred money (although I don't think there was any) was going to be paid to 'mando anyway.

Now Messenger is just another underperforming farm hand.

Valdez and Wilson have both been very good early on. Valdez should be in the bullpen come opening day. The fact that he's out of options may force the issue.

Seriously? Have you looked at Brian Wilson's stats?

Allowing more than a hit per inning and sporting a [sign in to see URL] ERA after 3 games does not really imply that a pitcher is looking "good" early on.
