Bowker at first?
Nobody in the system calls him Big V... they just say Villa.

Bowker at first?
Some bad news. Villalona is back on the round side, again.
On a better note. Fairley looks solid at the plate. He spent time DHing in the Instruct. with hamstring problems but now looks super strong.

Re: Bowker at first?
It's pretty cool that you have the instruct to get a gauge of these guys. Do you notice any of the HS draftees bulking up as they come into their first ST? I know that bulk has been trending down lately, but it's hard to get an idea of these guys bodies when I'm just sitting on my couch looking at stats. Please ignore the gayness of that last sentence.

Bowker at first?
Noonan is a lanky dude, he came back with some more muscle. It definately shows when he's hitting. They list him at 6'0", he kind of looks taller.
Fairley looks like the same size/physique as Jimmy Rollins. Just a lot of power in small package, though I think Rollins 5'8" and Wendell is closer to 5'11".
Culberson is not skinny or bulky he's average I guess, whatever that is. Maybe somwhere close to what Frandsen looked in his earlier minor league days.

Re: Bowker at first?
I watch the minor leaguers as much as possible, and here in Scottsdale there is always someone here. In the process I got to know a few coaches, tons of players and a security guard. So that's where the info is from.
The roster info I posted the security guard gave me. He gives me this roster with the report dates of everyone in the system, even the clubhouse and medical staffs report dates are on there.
But yeah, a lot of watching and conversing

Re: Bowker at first?
Phil, have you ever considered doing a blog similar to giantsjottings?
Thanks for the info on the kids. Much appreciated.
