Bill Hall a possibility now??
Brew Crew signed Mike Cameron.
Now there OF stands as:
Cameron
Hall
Hart
If they move Braun to OF, then Hall to 3rd, unless they sign Pedro which leaves Hall expendable...
Or maybe they leave Braun at 3rd and we offer Randy Winn.
Thoughts?

Re: Bill Hall a possibility now??
wouldnt they rather just put Hall at 3B since Feliz is just the worst 3B option out there??

They may want to keep Braun at 3rd. I think Winn is a better fielder than Hall, plus they need a left handed hitter.

Looking at the numbers, to me Hall is only a slight improvement over Feliz. Hall had an OBP of only .315 compared to Pete's .290. Hall had fewer HR's and only stole 4 bases. To me, that's just not a significant increase over Feliz. I say that but if the Brewers were to be willing to take on some salary in Winn or better yet Roberts, then I'd do the deal. I would not trade Lowry or Sanchez for Hall.
With that said, the two guys that really stick out as being an improvement over Feliz, who I assume could be attainable via trade are the much talked about Teahen and the lessor talked about Edwin Encarnacion. In fact, Encarnacion's numbers look really strong with an OBP of .356 with 16 bombs and 76 RBI's. Looks like he even has some speed too.
As discussed Teahen also has a good OBP of .353 but has a lot less power than Feliz but stole 18 bags last year. The Giants could use that speed.
Two 'dark horses" that I like that nobody seems to mention are Betemit and Keppinger. Both put up good OBP numbers and could be had via trade, I think.
So to me, the talk about re-signing Feliz is a dead end and should not be considered. Getting Crede or Chavez is another dead end.
So from now on, put me on the EE or Teahen bandwagon!
Then again, get anybody (except Inge) over Feliz in '08!
Just sayin'

Haven't heard much on the McPherson front.
I have a feeling Borass is trying to jack up the price. Last I heard, the Marlins were talking.

Doesn't matter if Winn is a better fielder than Hall, Braun is the worst fielding 3B in baseball.
