Re: Just saw THE SANDLOT
I highly recommend "Pride of Teh Yankees" (Lou Gehrig biopic)
One of Jon Miller's favorites is "It Happens Every Spring" w/ Ray Milland.
My guilty pleasure: "BNB in Breaking Training." Sad to say, I'm old enough to say I saw it in the theaters in '77. ACK.

LOL. Look for me in that one! They filmed the 1994 version at the A's yard. The ran ads in the paper for people to come down and watch.

BASEketball
BASEketball is one of my favorite all-time sports movies. I once called Bruce Magowan on KNBR and told him to watch it. Trey Parker and Matt Stone know how to make something hilarious and still contain some underlying truth. The introduction with the breakdown of sports franchises moving is classic.
"The Jazz moved from New Orleans to Utah, where they don't allow music."
"The Raiders moved from Oakland to Los Angeles and back to Oakland. No one in LA seemed to noticed."
comedy.
