It doesn't matter if he declined, all that mattered is that the Giants offered it to him.

In that case, disregard my post about signing him in February if available, don't sign him and hope a team takes a go at him if a player gets injured in spring training, if not signed by May then maybe sign him for a year at minimum value.

I don't know if I misunderstood, but did you just refer to Pedro Feliz as an "amazing talent"? Please clarify if I'm mistaken...

2 years at 3-4 million is over paying by about 3-4 Million and 2 years too many IMO.

You're not going to get a 25hr/80rbi guy with an excellent glove for 3-4 mil ANYWHERE.

Tell that to the numerous other teams in the market for a 3rd basemen who haven't signed Feliz.

because he wants 3 years. Einstein.

Well according to you, that is when you take Feliz's cock out of your hands long enough to type, he is well worth 3 [sign in to see URL] you cannot find a gold glove, 20HR/90RBI guy for 3-4mil ANYWHERE. Right? So who WOULDN'T want to sign an amazing talent like that for 3 years?

please point out where i said he is "WELL WORTH IT FOR 3 YEARS". Otherwise shut your pie hole.

Let me clarify for you, since you cant read. I said i would accept a deal for him for 2 years, and I never said anything about "amazing talent", so quit twisting it around to try and prove a point.

As it gets closer to the season his value is going to drop and sabean might be able to get him for 2-4 per yr. Thats obvious, so yes [sign in to see URL]'re stating the obvious.

Shall we bet?

Feliz will NOT get :
3 years/ $10M total
2 years/$10M total
1 year/$5M total

from ANY team (except from the stupid Sabean Giants).

Who gives a crap? Must you beat the horse to oblivion to prove your point, on every subject. All im saying is theres no better option out there right now. Give him 2 years at 2-4 per year. thats it, thats all im saying. You dont agree, thats fine, you stated your points time and time and time and over and over again.

First, the post you quoted was the second one of mine on this thread - the first was the one that started the thread How on earth you could qualify 2 posts (on a thread with well over 30) as "beating the horse" indicates to me that you apparently don't understand the expression. Especially since I don't recall EVER saying "Feliz will not sign for {this much money} with any team except the Giants"

second : "All im saying is theres {sic} no better option out there right now.". Funny - that may be the first time you've actually said that. So far you've pretty much limited yourself to (a) saying you'd bring him back for $4M/year for 2 years and (b) insulting people who don't share your views. We aren't "sheep" just because most of us realize what Feliz can bring to the team (and most importantly, what he doesn't bring).

When you want to make a point, it would really help if you wrote what you actually mean. Personally, I can't read minds. So, in the future, if you mean "theres no better option out there", please actually write that - from the beginning. It will make things a lot simpler.

BTW, he ISN'T the best option out there at the moment (if you are trying to find pieces of a future team and seeing if they fit). Feliz is a very poor fit for this team, even if he does end up hitting 20 HRs next year. Personally, I think that the Giants would do better to locate a young player who *might* turn out better than Feliz, will sign for less than Feliz, and is captive *at least* 3 years. *That* would be a much better option than Feliz.

Feliz may end up being the best option out there in mid-Feb if the Giants can't find anybody with any upside to play 3B, and Feliz will swallow his pride and accept a 2 year, $5M (total) deal -because then he has value in trade on top of the value of his glove, and isn't so expensive that he *has* to start.

Do not suggest trading for somebody for only two years (unless the Giants dump a crappy contract)

Actually, if the Giants don't sign Feliz (or he signs for very little money) then we all win.
