Webb, Haren and a healthy RJ would make for a lovely weekend in PHX.

Wow.

I like it for both teams.

Carlos Gonzalez will be better than Eric Byrnes in a couple years. Aaron Cunningham, Brett Anderson, and Chris Carter seem nice. Not sure about Greg Smith and Dana Eveland in the AL though. Arizona just locked up the division.

Re: Dan Haren Traded to The Diambondbacks - SNAP!

So what exactly is Billy Beane's strategy? What is he rebuilding? I get that he wants to sell high on his young players, but didn't he do that not too long ago with Hudson and Mulder?

If his strategy is to trade the young talent before they become too expensive, doesn't he just leave himself a 2-3 year window before the next cycle starts? I'm not sure I really understand it. Everybody praises him for making tough trades and having the balls to get rid of fan favorites, but in the end, if he doesn't win, he just dumps his young stars for the next batch of prospects and the cycle continues. I don't get it.

i dont understand this move. Haren is good for a cheap price and its not like hes going to ask for more in 2008....
