The reports are that it is a 5 year $60 mil contract. That's not that bad I suppose.

If it's anywhere close to Hunter money this is absolutely ridiculous! Fire Sabean Now! What an absolute facking idiot! So now we are paying Zito 18 mil per and Rowand 15 mil plus per year? I am a season ticket holder and I am facking pissed. I would have been perfectly happy doing nothing and watching kids like Schierholtz, Lewis etc.

For some reason, Giants ownership/management can't understand that. Us fans are willing to wait and support the team if they would just come out and say something like, "we're going to play the kids and suck the next two years, but it will be worth it in the long run."

They keep making stupid deals as if to show the fans they're doing something even though they are going to suck.

5 years/$60M is still bad.

Aaron Rowand is probably not even worth $7M. He's a below average bat and they are going to hit him 5th. Who's batting 4th? Molina? !@#$, that is one terrible offense.

This is the worst signing of the offseason. The Giants now hold this title for the 2nd straight year.

I shiver at the thought of what comes next.....

this team is hopeless.

And Hunter even admitted he would've taken less!

I'm relieved Sabean did his due diligence and signed a reactionary 5-year contract. The Giants are spending a lot of money on changing the atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Brian, dude, bro-ski, El Primo Douchebag, El Jefe F-uckface, if you want to clean up the clubhouse atmosphere, get in your tire-kicked car and drive on down to the local Wal-Mart, swallow your pride, and drop $50 on a decent humidifier. That'll clean up the clubhouse atmo nice and tidy.

Also, I am going to play the race card and say that the Giants are trying to clean up their image by bringing in hustling white guys. And, I don't mean hustling in the Hustle & Flow sense, I mean it in that intangible, god-like Ecksteinian sense of the word.

I'm rooting for Sabean to sign Carlos Silva for 5 years/$55M.

I'm guessing this is not the last deal of the season. The OF looks crowded now, but I think one of Roberts/Winn will be traded along with one of the expendable arms for a corner IF before the offseason is over.

Nothing could ruin my bbq brisket and coleslaw naan bread sandwich with cheddar.

That said, I would have much prefered the Jones contract.

But I do think Rowand could lead the league in doubles.

If he leads the league in 2B, Who's gonna drive him in?
