I would imagine it means that almost every game remains televised regardless of how poorly the team plays the next couple seasons.

With the Warriors and Sharks both on the upswing, the Giants have to protect their airtime.

Re: Giants buy into FSNBA
The question is will anybody watch? I will as a die hard fan, but there are a lot of people in the bay area, who after a year or two of losing, if this team doesn;t show signs of life, who will move on to wine tasting, outdoor activities, maybe the sharks or warriors. No offense to the other die hards like myself out there, but the reality is, the bay area fans by in large to not live and die with their teams in any sport really. They don't have Bonds to put butts in the seats anymore. So, they better right the ship within 2 years.

Read the article. They address that point.

There's nothing wrong with wine tasting.

Re: Giants buy into FSNBA
Lol, nothing but the stigma. It's a California thing that the rest of the country see's and thinks "wtf ?". Right up there with Fondue. The populous(of Cal) embraces it like few others do, I guess largely because Cal has a few areas that doesn't fall in to the "average/mediocre at best" category of wine production. Kinda like how we hope our G's will be in a few years, once they've aged a bit, right? We have some here in Washington too(good production areas), but I still don't get the "culture" that comes from it. As the plants go, hop's plants are far and away more cool. Tannens just give me a headache.

Re: …
I didn't mean to imply that there was. I like wine tasting. My point was if that this team has 2-3 years of losing the casual fans... which I believe are quite a few in the bay area will move on to more enjoyable things. I.e wine tasting etc. They don't have a drawing card like Bonds anymore that guarantees butts in the seats every night. Will stick by this team regardless.... I've been through rough times before in the early 90's. Just gotta hope that some of these kids show omething in the opportunity they get and produce some excitment or reason for hope.
