kill em both and start again. Yeah sorry man, this proggy is buggy as hell. The programing language i'm using is NOT meant to be used with webpages... they're too unpredictable.

Even for me, the proggy works like 75% of the time.

Sure, i'll look. And yes, it's buggy.

BUT... after thinking about it for a while, I think it is highly likely that using F5 to vote allows you to vote more than 25 times. In fact, I believe you could vote an infinite amount of times using the F5 method.

When web designers code their pages, usually these type of security checks (like only being able to vote 25 times per email) are done ONCE. They aren't usually done in multiple spots.

Notice how there is no error if you hit F5 and "vote" more than 25 times? It just keeps saying "thank you"? If there was any kind of checking going on at the database level, it would have to error out, unless they suppress the error. (by adding an "@" in front of the SQL INSERT code)

The only time the email address is matched against the database is during registration (the first page). It does NOT happen during the actual vote. In this way, I believe we could take one email address, use it to get past the "check", and then hit F5 until our fingers fall off. My program would never break.

the problem is, if I'm wrong, we wasted a lot of time.

So my solution is to press F5 50 times. It takes only a few seconds longer, and potentially doubles our votes. Super =D

However, I will do F5 until my fingers bleed. I think I'm right.

K, I just wrote a simple program to press F5 once a second.

I filled out the ballot, submitted, and ran the proggy.

That's 3600 votes an hour. I'll check the vote totals in an hour and see if it's significantly increased....?

A better test example would be to check the vote totals over a period of time, like every hour, over 5 hours. Track the results. Then run the proggy for an hour and see if the vote trend increased. But I don't have time for that. So oh well. Fack it, I can still try with the F5 infinity rule, and I'm still pumping out 25 per with my other 4 boxes.

Nope, i'm doing that.

I think everyone else should try F5 50 times instead of 25. Minimal risk, potentially doubling the votes.
