Game 04/04 Padres at Giants

GAMEBALL and JERK
WEDNESDAY 04/04 SAN DIEGO PADRES at SF GIANTS

GAMEBALL

735 Homers in 2862 Career Games.... This guy has got some serious miles on him.,,,but the odometer keeps clicking....
And this old car looks like it got completely rebuilt this offseason....
Bonds sent a thrill through the crowd with his first inning opposite field homer in the first innings of the ball game.....
The old man was fooled on the pitch and couldn’t get his weight behind the pitch, yet he was still able to summon enough power to send it over the Left Field wall....
Add to that the catch of a shallow ball that prevented a potential run in the third and it becomes obvious that this is not the limping shadow of a man we saw in 2005-2006. No, this is a man who is feeling good all over and ready to go to war......
And I don’t care what bullshit Yahoo, SI, the Chronicle, ESPN, or FOX puts out there... what this man has done, is doing, and will do is flat out !@#$ amazing under any circumstances.......
Although, I’m not exactly the Elias Bureau sitting here on my [sign in to see URL] would hazard to say that at NO TIME in HISTORY was a 42 Year Old Man the most feared hitter on his team, let alone in his division.....
So for you, my timeless friend.... you get yet another GAMEBALL.....

TIP OF THE CAP emoticon
ROBERTS
This grey bearded, half Japanese midget man, is more than just a speed merchant....
Dave has a nice slashing swing that generates line drives that can find gaps.....
Dave stung the ball all night, but only was able to cash in one hit, his first triple of the year.....

AURILIA
Ritchie turned in professional at bats all night, which is something the Giants lineup sorely missed.....
Richie may not hit .300 or 20 HR but if he keeps grinding in the middle of the order, the Giants will no doubt benefit.....

HENNY
Sure it was only a inning and a third, but Henny looked good tonight.... The only hit allowed was a groundball just out of the reach of [sign in to see URL] was converted into an earned run by.........

JERK

OK, how long can a pitcher milk a brief moment of success? Well if you throw in the 90’s and are left handed, I bet you can milk that well into your late 30’s (reference Jason Christiansen)
In Jack’s case his success was a 22 innings stretch in 2005, where he posted a [sign in to see URL] ERA... but look a little closer and you see what his problem is.... 13 walks in 22 innings.....
Yes, you walk 13 in 22 innings with a [sign in to see URL] ERA, you aren’t good... you are !@#$ lucky......
And that is Tasch’s [sign in to see URL] enough stuff, but not nearly good enough command....
And that’s what burned him [sign in to see URL] plant a belt high fastball on the inner third of the plate to the Padres best hitter?????
Hell, you’re lucky he didn’t hit it off the San Mateo Bridge......
Its easy to root for Tasch.... a Bonus Baby, who has struggled through injuries and surgeries to finally make it to the show.... a guy who is always polite and friendly to the fans.....
Yes San Francisco loves to support its players and has tremendous patience....
but our patience has worn thin, and I think you might have just broken its back.....
I don’t care how nice a guy you are, if you can’t play ball and lose games for our team, I will be the first one to call you a JERK.....

SMACK OF THE STICK emoticon
CAIN
Electric stuff dominating the [sign in to see URL] to a 2-0 [sign in to see URL] I chalked up the W in the 3rd inning......
But this is the show, and they can hit the best fastball if you leave it over the plate.....
Well Cain had a touch of Gopherballitis in the 5th and the Giants lead evaporated in an instant....
So yes, perhaps its a bit unfair to give Cain the smack... but I DO EXPECT better from our young ace.....

RON KULPA
Ok, it really must be a whole lot harder to call a game with your eyes closed.....
I suggest you try keeping them open, especially when a pitch is coming.... just a suggestion.....
I have TWO words for your Ron Kulpa.....
INCONSISTENT STRIKE ZONE.......
That low pitch was a guess all night, and same of the low and away pitch to lefties.....
How does a Ball to Bonds, become a Strike to Durham????
Is the batter plate size proportional to the size of their ass????

GB and JK here after the game

Feel free to discuss game below,
add your own picks for GB and JK ,
or answer the age old question... which Giles brother looks more inbred?

that would be [sign in to see URL] change my answer it's [sign in to see URL] know because otherwise why would the kitty be attracted to him? he likes the weirdos..

Hamels started toward the dugout after what he thought was a strike. Lincecum didn't get the call & buzzed ump Dana DeMuth w. a fastball that slammed off the backstop & then froze Hamels w. another 3rd strike. 4/28/10 Timmy the ump killer.
