However, even if they do get him more innings, is he really going to crack the roster of the big club this year? I'm still thinking it would be better to have Sanchez in AAA getting time as a starter instead of giving up runs out of the bullpen. So can someone explain why, Threets is in the rotation in Fresno while Sanchez is in the bullpen with the big club? If anything, Sanchez needs to be in Fresneck, learing to be a starter. And Threets has been around long enough he either needs to be in the show or out of the organization. Again, I think this is a case of the organization thinking "win now" instead of building for the future. He turned 28 this offseason, as his progress was slowed by spending the parts of 4 seasons in Double-A before finally getting his first shot at Triple-A last season. He didn't embarrass himself, putting up a solid 4.05 ERA in the hitter friendly park. Recently moved into starting. Might get a chance to help if the bullpen this year is as bad as it seemed in ST, but he's way down the line.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BruteSentiment)Mon, 02 Apr 2007 20:14:34 +0000 Re: Fresno Rosterhttps://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394346,from=rss#post394346https://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394346,from=rss#post394346I haven't heard of Palmer before....Whats the word on him? Is he a legit prospect or is he an older guy that has no future?nondisclosed_email@example.com (TheBarkingSpider)Mon, 02 Apr 2007 20:00:28 +0000 https://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394303,from=rss#post394303https://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394303,from=rss#post394303Pereira had some major problems in Fresno. I'm more surprised that they made him tough it out for half a season than at his current demotion (particularly considering how conservative the team is with many of their prospects). nondisclosed_email@example.com (Bhaakon)Mon, 02 Apr 2007 16:11:44 +0000 https://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394301,from=rss#post394301https://boardsfgiantsfans.runboard.com/p394301,from=rss#post394301You're going to love this: Franchise Misch Palmer Kinney THREETS (WTF?????) The infield looks lackluster in terms of prospects, but they should be a good Triple-A team. McClain was the PCL's MVP in 2006 with Sacramento, and Justin Leone was a 20 HR hitter in Portland last year. The pitching staff is the most interesting (No Foppert...must be in extended ST). The biggest surprise for me was no Pereira, but he must be in CT. Still, a Lincecum/Misch/Palmer start to the rotation will be good. No Sunny Kim either. Suddenly, the bullpen looks shallow, especially considering how many of the bullpen guys are likely to be called up sometime this season. nondisclosed_email@example.com (BruteSentiment)Mon, 02 Apr 2007 12:44:48 +0000
