49ERS and there draft pick

With the Niners having the 11th pick in this years draft they will be more likely be picking defensive players so with the 11th pick i would love if they got LaRon Landry a great safty another person that would make a great star in the NFL would be Alan Branch there is also some talk that Dwayne Jarrett could be the answer for Alex Smith.

What do you guys think?

Alan Branch if he's their, if not I like Patrick Willis, Darrelle Revis, Reggie Nelson, Amobi Okoye, or Adam Carriker

I don't think Strong Saftey is much of a need with Roman and Lewis.

Mel Kiper has Alan Branch slipping to the 49ers. That would be awesome and a sure pick if he is up there but it seems uhmm... crazy that he would slip that far.

Carriker performed very well at the Senior Bowl where Nolan was coach of the South so he is a good possibility. Patrick Willis was on Nolan's team and Nolan expressed that he was very impressed by him so he's a very good possibility. Reggie Nelson is a very fast big hitter and I think Nolan would really like him also.

John Clayton, has reported that Adalius Thomas will be leaving Baltimore and that the 49ers are the most likely to acquire his services but that the Packers and Patriots are also interested.

Btw, Keith Lewis's and Mark Roman's contracts have been extended.

Re: …

Adalius Thomas would be awsome but if we are not able to get him there is also Lance Briggs from the Bears

How would Patrick Kerney fit on this team? He's not expected to resign with the falcons.

To be honest, I think the 49ers need another big name receiver, i.e. a T.O./Jerry Rice type guy. For instance they should draft Calvin Johnson- he is ridiculously good. Im not a 49ers fan, but it always seems like they have a good WR

Kerney will probably get looked at. I think he is 15-20 lbs too light for a 3-4 DE but he has had some time playing in the 3-4.

WR is a need but CJ isn't likely to fall from the top 3 picks and to trade up there would cost too much.
