With Klesko on board, what are the odds that Omar is traded?

Will Aurilia be playing short and klesko playing first?

Or will Aurilia just have to sit on the bench unless a lefty is pitching?

Bochy and Sabean are still sticking with Aurilia at 1B for now. Depending on how Klesko performs, he'll take up more and more of Richie's playing time. Klesko will also see time in left when Bonds is riding the pine.

It may make sense to move Omar but I think it is unlikely they would move him with all the backlash from the fans right now. Omar is arguably the most popular Giant.

I love Omar but i would love to get something for him. I think Sabean feels that he is pleasing the fans by trying to field a competitive team so if it made sense i think that Sabes would move Omar.

Who could use a shortstop?

the teams that i see that could use a shortstop are: Twins, Devil Rays, Nationals, Red Sox and White Sox.

The question now is who could we get in return? Maybe package Vizquel and Benitez and get someone decent (prospect or player)

I would rather look at a nude Rosie O'Donnell finger bang herself while Maury Povich fisted a two-legged horse than have Cristian Guzman on the Giants, and that's what a trade with the Nationals would likely include. (the guy still has 3 years left on his deal, too, if i'm not mistaken).

The White Sox would be the best bet, just in terms of what they could provide the Giants.

With the craptastic Klesko deal, I think the player most likely to get dealt is Sweeney.

Just sayin'.

While I really like Omar, i think what's best for the Giants is to trade what they can for as many major league ready prospects as they can, it's the only way they can get younger, healthier and better faster, I would wait until the deadline of course.

I wouldn't wait until the deadline is a reasonable offer was in the offing right now (by which I mean one position prospect with a good chance of becoming an average or better major leaguer in the near future). Vizquel's in good shape, but he will be 40 next season. It's only a matter of time until he starts showing his age, I'd rather not risk it happening before the trade deadline.
