Eastwood always gets the respect of his actors, his crew, and usually the moviegoers themselves. There's a reason most people work with him time and time again. Apart from Sandra Locke.
But she was a rat-faced tard who almost ruined Teh Outlaw Josie Wales "[sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] across the sky...."

I hurled my popcorn. Luckily for me, Cheif Dan George came on the scene pretty quickly to save me.

But at least Josie did whip out his pistol and left nothing in the chamber.

Re: Flags Of Our Fathers

Saw it and really liked it but comparing it to SPR is not applicable other than they are WWII movies. Completely different layout and setting. As far as the battle scenes, it was equally brilliant to SPR and Band of Brothers (which I still think is the best WWII film though it was not a big screen project).

What I did enjoy about FOOF was the way the story was told, going backward and forward into time and from different perspectives of the characters. Well done, former Mayor of Carmel By The Sea.

And byco, I can understand your fondness for the film given the father-son thing you have going. I am glad the film resonated so well with [sign in to see URL] raise a glass of rye grain and rainwater in your honor.
