Re: Don Nelson is back....

I'll take my best shot at what we could see opening night against the Lakers:

C - Troy Murphy: Nelson has said that he would like to use Murphy at C to create mismatches, so that pretty makes this a lock.

PF - Mike Dunleavy: Nelson said that he didn't like what he saw from him at SF. Knowing that Nelson thinks this team is successful when small, Dunleavy moves up to PF.

SF - Jason Richardson: Again, with Nelson preferring to go small with this team, JR moves up to the 3.

SG - Monta Ellis or Mickael Pietrus: Nelson said these are "mystery players." He doesn't really like giving very young players like Ellis, who is 20, a starting spot. Nelson likes Pietrus' defense and the fact that he is extremely athletic, and he's older, so I'm starting to lean towards Pietrus getting the spot but I'm sure Nelson has been impressed by Ellis on tape.

PG - Baron Davis: Nelson sees him as the Tim Hardaway. Davis has already stated that he loves the fact that Nelson has worked with Steve Nash and Hardaway.
