The 49ers gave CB Shawntae Spencer a 5 year contract extension, $6 Million bonus.

Re: San Francisco 49ers Thread

Well, after watching the chargers go up and down the field at will the last game, I'm wondering how the fack the niners are going to compete with anybody half way decent the rest of the way

My theory in the offseason was, improve the offense, and even if the personell remains largely the same, the D would improve their #32 finish from a year ago just from being off the field longer than they were last year

That theory is floating in the toilet

Oh, the bengals are hardly world beaters. What the hell is wrong with the passing game, chad isn't doing crap this year and Palmer has looked rusty the entire season so far

Losing to teh bucs = emoticon

Yes, defense is very bad. They will get defensive players in the next draft. They focused on improving the offense before and that's why they actually produce touchdowns against better teams.

Best case scenario is that they get great d players in the draft and then have a winning season. Worst case the team is riddled with injuries and the rookies play like the raiders.
