Rams win 13-9. Both teams are tied for 3rd at 2-8 and 4th worst record in NFL.

Dilfer threw for over 220 yards but 2 INT. Now you know what Seattle fans went through with Darrell Jackson.

San Francisco 49ers Thread

Thanksgiving predictions:

Detroit by 3. The running game and Favre have to at least return to earth for one day and I'll go with tomorrow as that day.

Dallas by 20. Moving on.

Indianapolis by 13. Most of the country won't see this one(including myself). Not that this game is worth it anyway. Maybe I flip to ESPN and do some work on the USC/ASU game. Sedrick Ellis and Rey Mualuga are projected top 15 picks.

Arizona by 17.

The 49ers are on a downward sprial straight to hell, losing every game they've played since Week 2. Meanwhile in Arizona, the Cardinals are in the thick of a playoff race. Its been almost a decade since those words were used in the same sentence and a lot of it is credited to an improved OL thanks to Russ Grimm, one of the all-time great OL coaches.

Special Edition Big Game Prediction:

Green Bay(10-1) @ Dallas(10-1), 5pm PT, NFL Network(HD)

Dallas by 7

This is one of the more premiere regular season matchups of the last 20 years and it will likely not be seen by millions of NFL fans thanks to NFL Network. Get to the sports bar early is my advice. Dallas enters this game coming off an easy win over the lowly Jets and Green Bay handled Detroit enough in the middle quarters to win it. The reason I like Dallas tonight is because Romo and Owens are playing in a different universe(you know, the one below Moss and Brady) and their running game is better than Green Bay's. However, Green Bay will stay in it thanks to an inconsistent Dallas secondary. Big plays will be made all over tonight. Brett Farve is winless @ Texas Stadium and that trend continues.

I was right about Dallas, lets see if I'm right about this one:

SF by 3

2 offenses that rank in the bottom 5 square off in Charlotte, where Carolina is winless this season. Expect that trend to continue because 440 year old Vinny Testaverde can't get the ball to Steve Smith, who is having one of the more disappointing seasons of any player in the NFL. Also, Frank Gore seems primed to have a good finish to the season as he was voted NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the win against Arizona.

San Francisco 49ers Thread

MIN by 17

The 49ers meet one of the best running games and one of the best run defenses in the league. That sentence already makes this game have a bad feeling to it. SF is one of the worst run defenses in the NFL and I don't know how effective Gore will be against the un-related Williams tandem(Pat and Kevin) up the middle, who are likely the sole reason they are so good against the run. As we've seen, if Gore doesn't run well or is ineffective because of going behind by 2 TD, the 49ers have zero chance.

CIN by 20

The 49ers enter Saturday night's game with 3rd string QB Shaun Hill scheduled to make his first NFL start of his career. The Bengals have one of the more explosive offenses in the NFL, lead by QB Carson Palmer and WR's Chad Johnson and T.J. Housmanzadeh. However, Cincinnati's run game has fallen off. The Bengals have a solid run defense, something that could be troubling since Frank Gore will have to be depended on to carry the 49ers to have any chance in this one. I just think Cincinnati has too many playmakers and the 49ers have given up way too many points in the first half(over 200), which will likely delete the running game.

Singletary could get a job elsewhere. Atlanta is interested.
