Re:
I think Wilson could be in the hotseat, but if he is fired, the new boss will undoubtedly fire Todd...and then we've got the same issue (inconsistency & cohesion) as last year, but now with a new GM, coach, and system.
I think this season was on the players first & foremost, DWill second, the PK coach third, and Todd 4th.
The McGinn trade was the worst trade Wilson's ever done IMO. He traded the only Shark who never took a shift off (Mitchell too) pure grit & hustle, scored, and was coming into his own...for two guys who barely contributed. Not to mention that he was a fan favorite.

Re:
I get why Doug made that deal and the one to get Moore. He was trying to improve the PK and provide depth to the bottom 6 but it completely blew up in his face. All McGinn did was score more while the Sharks got good play from Winnik but less than nothing from the other two. And we'll have to hope the 2nd for Moore doesn't come back to bite the Sharks in the ass.
I'm not so sure I'd be so willing to part with Couture for Nash. I really like Logan and that trade is an all or nothing move. Either you bring home the Cup with Nash or everyone involved is looking for a job when the season falls short again (assuming that doesn't happen before any potential trades/signings this off-season), especially if Logan puts up huge numbers in Columbus. Couture is young and getting better and relatively cheap compared to Nash.
However, a player like Nash on Thornton's wing would be fun to watch. They could do some serious damage. I read at the end of the regular season there were some rumors Iginla may want out of Calgary. Now that would really be something. He's put up HOF numbers without a great center. He's getting up there in age like Joe and Patty but I'd be all for bringing in Iginla if it was possible.

Re:
I got why he pulled the deal, but he sent the wrong piece. McGinn was one of the few playing the game right every shift. PK is just too passive, drives me nuts.
Jerome would be perfect, maybe even better than Nash. Dude oozes pure hockey.

Will the Rangers be the next team to be upset tomorrow ??
Right now the only top seeds to make it through the first are ST Louis and Phoenix.

Re:
Each season after the Sharks' annual exit I root for teams who have yet to hoist the cup.
My current rooting order reads St. Louis, LA, Phx, and
Nashville.
Unfortunately, I think the 2012 winner will come from the other Coast subjecting us all to a torrent of Eastern
Seaboard bias.
Regretfully, W. Gretzky.

Re:
Any one notice that a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 seed advanced to Round 2?

Re:
One of the guys from the pool did (Biggs).
I would love if the winner came from the East, as I have NJ...but NSH looks like the best to me.

Re: Re:
I'll take STL / WAS.
I got a funny feeling OV gets redemption this year after some bad years where they should've won it all.

Re: Re:
I don't know about you FSS and the rest but it actually stings more watching this round unfold that we're not in it then it did after we were eliminated.
i was accepting it right after the loss now I am just mad .
Its never our year and its so fing frustrating.
NO matter what we do or add its never leads to winning the cup now 18 years and counting.
I am starting to wonder if it will take 52 years to get it.
Ok how I am really pissed St Louis getting killed by LA through two games. what the f was your problem San Jose. How did you lose to these guys.
Might be seeing LA win the cup.
