GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/10 NLDS Game 4
Awesome…. just !@#$ awesome……after sulking out of ATT Park on Friday Night and dragging myself back home……sulking into work on Saturday…..knocking out the day before sulking back home………then the Rally on Sunday morning, telling myself if we can just win 1 in Atlanta…..just win 1……I headed into the City to take in the game at the Public House……ran into the crowd from McCovey Chronicles……Man……that was the BIG game……lose and you are on the brink, win and you are guaranteed to return home……the ups and downs of Hinske, Huff, and Conrad left me euphoric and drained……dragged myself home and passed out……into work today with a spring in my step…..knowing if we didn't put it away today, we would be back home in a couple days…….but !@#$ that, you want to finish it now…..and !@#$ it if they didn't do it and put us through to the !@#$ NLCS BABY…….thats the REAL playoffs if you ask me…..That 5 game wham bam thank you Brooks Conrad, is like the Cliff Notes to the playoffs…..the 7 game series where the winner gets a World Series Berth and a Pennant……now THAT'S worth getting excited about……and I got to tell you, as the reality of it all is sinking in……I got a lump in my throat…..this has been one hell of a season……and pretty soon, it could be something really !@#$ special…….
GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/10 NLDS Game 4
GAMEBALL
CODY
Man, I just couldn't believe it when Cody made that roster instead of Guillen….could it be that the Front Office isn't filled idiots and ass clowns? And man has Cody been LARGE for the Giants, and tonight he broke Lowe's spell with a laser shot over the left field wall to put the Giants on the board and get the ball rolling on Offense…..and then an inning later….with the bases juiced came up with the hit to put the Giants in the lead for good…..loved what this guy did for the Marlins….and glad to have him on our side……
TIP OF THE CAP :
BUM
The "other" rookie stud on the Giants……A little shaky in the 2nd and 3rd, but kept the Giants in the game long enough to get the lead and hand the ball over the bullpen corps……
CASILLA
Mean nasty !@#$…….he was money once he got past that first 9 pitch at bat…..turning in 1 2/3rd solid in a high pressure situation….
LOPEZ
Man……in my book Bowker and Martinez were worth less than watching that 1 at bat of schooling the Phenom Braves right fielder…….
TIMMY
Always good for an on air F Bomb when the bubbly if flowing….this time with Flem on KNBR…….
COX
Class act, nice guy, hall of fame career……butt load of wins…..if you want more, I suggest Wikipedia
WILSON
Say what you will, but he was on the mound when the Giants advanced…..and that’s worth something
ASHTON
This is kinda cool, assuming you haven't already seen it….. Three or Four years??? Try !@#$ 56 years……but that being said, tip that cap to a well done vid…….
JOKER
CONRAD
Boo !@#$ hoo…..come on, man Brooks just flat out blew it……yeah, out of position….Heyward should called him off…..and all that !@#$……whatever man…..hey, the Braves fans are a forgiving bunch and Brooks had a good year so there is some love…..and more power to them…..but put this guy in Chicago, Philly, New York, or Boston and the mobs with torches and pitchforks are knocking down on the door……heck, put this guy in San Francisco and he is likely railroaded out of town…..being a nice guy and having one good year don't forgive !@#$ like that….this is Major !@#$ League Baseball man….there is plenty of time for forgiveness and appreciation 20 years from now…..there is something to be said for a fanbase that has Heroes to celebrate and Villains to revile…. ask Jose Cruz about that Gold Glove and his career year in 2003……and yeah honestly, I do feel for Jose……but in the same breath I am still cursing his name……and better Brooks than one of our own…..and I make no apologies……
SMACK OF THE STICK :
WILSON
Good god man……you are the best !@#$ closer in the National League……we are only asking for 1 clean inning……good god, do you have to torture us???? I guess we all know the answer…..
TORRES
Hey, I got mad love for Andres…..but 6 K's in 4 games and 1-3 in stolen bases ain't getting it done, and this team is going to need you soon…..so get it together and lets get it done my man……
URIBE
I was looking forward to a focused Uribe bearing down and giving us good at bats…..instead he gets worked on the outside half of the plate……and instead of going with the pitch, he just crowds the plate and yanks everything……yeah, I know that’s what he has done all year……but then again, I have seen him bear down and get long at bats and go the other way when the game called for it…..maybe I'm dreaming but I still think he may have some surprises left for us this year……..
HEYWARD
Wow…….in a meek Braves lineup, Hewyard could have been the game changer in this hard fought low scoring series…….instead, he racks up 7 K's in 12 hitless at bats……and in the final game when he finally breaks through with a couple hits……he is schooled in the 8th with the tying run in scoring position with 2 down…….

Re: GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/10 NLDS Game 4
and when the stats were shown on tv...posey's BETTER!
--- Hamels started toward the dugout after what he thought was a strike. Lincecum didn't get the call & buzzed ump Dana DeMuth w. a fastball that slammed off the backstop & then froze Hamels w. another 3rd strike. 4/28/10 Timmy the ump killer.

With all fairness to Wilson last night, The Ump was squeezing him big time. Wilson pretty much needed to throw it down the middle if he was going to get a strike. But hey, it wouldnt be a Wilson save without some drama!
and apparently our little Timmy cusses like a sailor in addition to having some love for the tree.

Re: GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/10 NLDS Game 4
Wilson just doesn't know how to pound the strike zone and is a nibbler. That's why he tortures us so !@#$ much!!
Uribe really needs to step it up because I want to see more Renteria at this point. Good pitchers know all you have to do is pund the outside corner and he can't touch it because he tries to pull everything. Guess what? We're facing great pitching.
Torres does need to get better jumps if he is going to steal but one of those was a hit and run and Sanchez wasn't close to making contact. Still need to get a better jump.
Bowker and Martinez were worthless and Lopez has been one of the best mid-season pickups the Giants have had in a long, long time. Thank you Pittsburgh! We raped you once again!!
--- You can't help but to laugh at theclash. Hypocrisy at its finest!!

Re: GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/10 NLDS Game 4
Can't say for sure they weren't balls in the abstract, but they sure hadn't been balls when Lowe and MadBum threw them.
They were suddenly non-strikes for Wilson.
Maybe he always looks that way, but the HD closeups of Wilson sure made him look like a deer in the headlights with saucer eyes. He looked scared, and that started to make me scared. I'm really glad Melky Cabrera decided to kill a worm or two on the left side instead of jerking one a la the fat boy on Sunday.
